Finally, New Beginnings

Happy Friday.

Life.....we grow up and attend school from K-12 and then quickly have to decide what we want to do with our lives and what we want to study in college.  I have never been one to follow the norm or easy path.  Looking back at my first 50 years I can see areas of growth, pain, being stuck and just good'ol honest not knowing what to do next.

We are told how to raise our kids, that with every decade that goes by life is suppose to get easier....hmmm that's an interesting one.  I knew what I wanted in my 30's and into my 40's and producing brought me a lot of excitement and satisfaction.  Even though the entertainment world can definitely be a "boys club" as well as just plan frustrating, but that's a whole other blog.

Through my 40's I found enjoyment in giving back to young people, to helping others through communication and sharing.  Sharing my times of trial and pain.  Relating to others during their struggles and times of growth.  While I was in my 20's I found it comforting when I spoke to others who had gone through events, emotions, trials and tribulations that I was going through.  There seems to be acceptance the more I knew others had made it through their tough times.

In my life I have struggled with so many issues that so many other do, body image, depression, direction, jealousy, unable to let go of past pains....it's human and for the most part I wouldn't have it any other way because it enables me to have compassion and empathy.

For a very long time I have wanted to change my focus in life to helping others.  I also want a forum for women entering their second half of life and like me, are looking for direction and answers.

From this point foward I will be writing about my experiences, my journey that has gotten me to his place.  I will probably throw in some stories about my dog, Titan.  LOL, he keeps me grounded and makes me happy, even when I don't feel like smiling.

Life is a journey, a fight, a blessing, a challenge, and we never stop growing.  I'm living in the now, not the past, as much as possible.

So, I always love to hear from others on how they live their lives, please share if you can.

Here we go......

Kathleen and Titan
